Seasons

Life is full of seasons. Each season has its own unique challenges, adventures, and growth. For the past few years, I have struggled with what season I am in. I feel like I have been in limbo, somewhere between seasons. I believe I am finding my way into my new season. I view it with a bit of apprehension as I embark on a somewhat new journey.

               I have been writing for as long as I can remember. Childhood days in my backyard writing poems or silly short stories. High School and College brought the dreaded papers. Journaling has been an on and off thing with me since Jr. High School. I find it interesting now to go back and read some of those handwritten entries.

I spent my 30’s writing songs and learning to play the guitar. My songs were always Christian based and meant to worship God, teach about God, and many times God used them to talk to me. During this time, I also found myself writing devotions. Sometimes for small groups of friends and other times just for me.

               This brings me to where I find myself today. I am embarking on the path of becoming an author. I know I am already a writer. I have allowed myself to call myself a writer for a while, but it is time to begin calling myself an author. No, I am not published yet but that is the goal and dream.

               As time passes, you will find blog posts about my journey into the world of words as well as some tidbits about happenings in my life. There will also be a weekly devotion and monthly newsletter to start. I invite you to follow along on this journey into a new season with all the ebbs and flows life brings.
